WHO WE ARE

Eagledancer Youth & Family Services is a private non-profit child welfare agency committed to providing compassionate and culturally enriched foster care and independent living services to Native American children. As a licensed child welfare agency in the state of Arizona, we take immense pride in our unique approach to caring for our clients and foster parents. By partnering with local Native American social service agencies, we have the privilege of offering off-reservation foster care, granting us the autonomy to create a program that truly values and supports our clients and their families.

Our Foster Care Program provides a safe and nurturing home-like atmosphere for children and youth ages 0 - 18. Through licensed foster parents and comprehensive clinical support, we empower them with self-esteem, loyalty, and good peer relationships, while preparing them effectively for family settings.

Tailored to youth ages 17-21 transitioning to adulthood, our Independent Living Program offers essential support in finance, housing, counseling, and education. We equip young adults with self-sufficiency skills, job placement, and personalized service plans, enabling them to confidently embrace independent living.

Celebrating and embracing cultural heritage, our Cultural Program offers weekly classes taught by knowledgeable instructors. From traditional languages to tribal history, dance, crafts, and ceremonies, we instill a sense of pride and understanding, fostering cultural enrichment and self-identity.

Commitment to a Continuum of Care: Building Lifelong Success

We want our clients to have the skills and tools necessary to be successful and strong community members on or off the reservation after they leave our program. We offer ongoing support to former clients, providing vital services like continued therapy, financial advice, and employment assistance. Our goal is to empower each graduate of our Independent Living Program with a driver's license, a car, and an emergency savings fund, ensuring a strong foundation for their future. Recognizing the challenges youth face after aging out of foster care, we have a special fund to aid with rent or bills if needed, striving to break the cycle of homelessness. We are committed to building lifelong success for our clients beyond their time with us, fostering resilience, and nurturing a brighter future for all.
