Yes! Becoming a respite parent is a valuable way to support foster families and make a difference in a child's life. As a respite parent, you support full time foster parents support by provide short-term care to their foster children,
Are at least 21 years old
Undergo thorough background checks, including fingerprinting
Provide a safe and nurturing home environment
Complete pre-service training covering essential topics like child development and trauma-informed care
Maintain physical and mental well-being to care for children
Demonstrate financial stability to meet household needs
Ensure each child has their own bed and suitable sleeping space
Possess reliable transportation for children's needs
